Rehabilitation centres approve basis of cooperation principles

On 18 January the round table of Christian rehabilitation centres approved the following principles of cooperation:

PRINCIPLES OF COOPERATION OFROUND TABLE CHRISTIAN REHABILITATION CENTRES

Adopted on 18 January 2019

  • Christian rehabilitation organisations have gathered for the round table as a professional association to develop rehabilitation work in Estonia based on Christian values.
  • Our objective is to help those addicted to drugs, alcohol and prescription medicines, their families and those close to them to heal and recover from their addiction and its effects. We also do preventive work to avoid other people becoming addicted.
  • Our vision is for every person to have a life free of chemical drug addiction. There is a way out of addiction. Many of us have successfully followed this path and are now passing on our experience, living a full and free life. We strive for a drug-free Estonia.
  • Due to the benefits of cooperation, we wish to develop as individuals as well as an organisation.
  • We accept the autonomy of each organisation belonging to the round table and their freedom to implement their own vision.
  • We respect and support one another as people, colleagues and those in need on our common path.

We have agreed that we will:

  • only say good and positive things, never defaming or belittling others;
  • always look for ways to work together;
  • stick to agreements;
  • be open to learning new things to ensure our development;
  • use the property entrusted to us prudently, and share it with others if we can;
  • share our experiences and other intangible value happily and for free;
  • deal delicately with information according to the law, and not disclose it to third parties;
  • not compete with but complement one another; we are not competitors, but associates;
  • live a dignified life that sets an example to others in the field;
  • always do our best to do right before God and to comply with the laws of Estonia.
  • We are Christians and we believe that God has called on us to do this work.
